In my opinion, one of the most eco-friendly things you can do is to buy items (clothing, cars, furniture, etc.) that are constructed to last, so they aren't just chucked into a landfill. In that same vein, restoring furniture can be a very "green" move.
We've recently been restoring furniture at private clubs. The chairs didn't necessarily come from our line, but our team is able to color match and repair these pieces to like-new status. The result: gorgeous chairs and money saved!
